WHO WE ARE
We are a volunteer organization that believes that peace and cooperation among individuals of different cultures start at grass roots levels, and that medicine is the most conducent vehicle to achieve this goal.
Friends of Ziv Medical Center is a charity, incorporated in the State of Florida (EIN 47-1194731). Under the Internal Revenue Code it holds a 501 (c) (3) tax exemption status .
The organization's activities and fundraising efforts are directed by a fully volunteer executive and an advisory board.
Founded in 2014, its first president was Dr. Raul Rosenthal. Our current board members are: Rabbi Moshe Pitchon, President; Matthew Absolon, Treasurer; Dr. Alicia Giser, Secretary.
Moshe Pitchon, president, is a Jewish scholar who has served as rabbi, community organizer and professor of Biblical Literature and Jewish philosophy is several countries through his fifty years career. He now also heads a 21st century Judaism think tank

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Alicia Giser got her degree in 1981 from the University of Buenos Aires. In 1986 Dr. Giser joined the Special Program for Orthodontists, which led her to become Chief of Clinic Assistance at the Argentine Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Alicia Giser has a background in music studies and plastic arts. She presently lives in Miami, USA.
